A very sweet and touching story of two 'grandmas' who work in the ICU and share their stories with one another.

In this first novel, two women meet in the neonatal intensive care unit of a hospital, where they have volunteered to rock critically ill infants. As the friendship develops, Raymond effectively and movingly tells the stories of contemporary African American women.

This was a good book. It took a while to get into it, but once I did it was hard to put down.

The story line, along with having a good plot, also had snippets of information about the prejudices different races still endure.

All in all, a nice book. I loved the ending.
