Three Irresistable Tales of the Lester Family of Regency England by Master Storyteller Stephanie Laurens.
"The Reasons for Marriage"-Miss Lenore Lester was perfectly content with her quiet country life, and had no desire for marriage. She took steps to remain inconspicuous when managing her brothers' house parties, and tried her best to show indifference-but to no avail! The notoriously charming Duke of Eversleigh had found her out and was quite persistent in his affections...
"A Lady of Expectations"-What Jack Lester wanted in a wife was someone rather like his sister, Lenore-attractive, capable, someone he could converse with. Impossible, given the debutantes he had seen over the past few seasons! Yet it was essential that he make his choice before the society matrons discovered that the Lesters were no longer poor as church mice...
"An Unwilling Conquest"-Harry Lester had no intention of following his sister and brother into marriage. And to avoid the matchmakers who'd gotten wind of the news that the Lester family fortunes had been repaired, he left London for Newmarket, only to find himself rescuing Mrs. Lucinda Babbacombe, a beautiful, managing widow, who refused to accept his advice! But no matter that he could not quell his desire for her-marriage was definately out!
This book consists of three of Laurens' short stories;i. e., The Reasons for Marriage; A Lady of Expectations; An Unwilling Conquest. All are great stories.
3-in-1 romance edition, contains all of Stephanie Lauren's stories about the Lester Family...The Reasons for Marriage, A Lady of Expectations and An Unwilling Conquest. Great reading.
Nice stories and quick reading.
Three different complete stories all very good.
Actually 809 pages, not 408 as stated in the "Book Information." This is a reprint of three complete novels, not three short stories. While the print size is not too small, the margins are very minimal, to account for taking three 300ish page novels and binding them into one at only 809 pages.
