I have requested 3 books off of a shelf.  The first book I am highly interested in.  The other two are more books of opportunity that although I'm interested in them I wouldn't have requested with my current number of available credits except to save a member on shipping costs.

The request will time-out tonight if the requester does not respond.

My question is I obviously want the first highly wanted book to roll-over to the next in line.  The other two books, not so much.

Do I cancel the requests for the second two books tonight before I hit the hay (what I'm currently leaning towards), or do I wait until tomorrow.

My thoughts:

If I cancel the books then it isn't as much of a ding on the posters record for not being active on the site, and if they are truly inactive it will take longer for their account to be removed/suspended (whatever TPTB do).

If I don't cancel the books then I run the risk of the two books already being accepted and the postage printed (at which point I won't be able to cancel the books).

I personaly wouldn't have ordered them if I didn't want them all so I would just let them roll over. So it's really up to you.

You would still leave one of the requests open and that one would rollover, right? Then in that case, that request will show the Team that this member is innactive (I'm not sure if missing several transactions in the same day count as much as missing different transactions on different days.)

Would it work to put your account on hold just before they roll over, then you can catch the two 'maybe' books and put them on hold or delete? Then take your account off hold and let the book you want go to the next transaction.  Would that work?

Thank You for the replies.

LOL: Yeah Mary L it wouldn't be devastating either way I admit, I have sufficient credits for all (just makes me a little nervous to not have enough credits to cover my WL).  It's mostly that one of the books would be similar to ordering a John Grisham or Tom Clancy novel, and I'm not going to be reading it given the number of books I've recently gotten for at least a year, so I was thinking that I'd wait and make someone elses day by ordering it with another book I request.

"(I'm not sure if missing several transactions in the same day count as much as missing different transactions on different days.)" I think that is kind of what I was unsure of myself riahekans.

I will have to seriously consider Denise's idea though (more for the fact that I haven't done it before and I am a new experience junkie by nature).
