If you had to name one or two that you just couldn't put down - let laundry pile up, children go hungry ;) etc... what would they be?

There have been many for me but the standouts were Honey Moon and Hot Shot by Susan Elizabeth Phillips.

Double Play by Jill Shalvis is one that comes immediately to mind for me. There have been others, but that was fairly recent. I laughed so much reading that book.

Duke of Shadows by Meredith Duran.  I ignored life in general for at least 24 hours:P  Delicious by Sherry Thomas, What a Scoundrel Wants by Carrie Lofty.  Lots of others are on that list too.  Several by Marhsa Canham, some Laura Kinsale, Judith Ivory, Loretta Chase (Lord of Scoundrels practically grew to my hand), & Connie Brockway.

Thanks Kim for the titles - those all look good and we have very similar tastes.  I've added those ones to my RL, when I get them I'll have to use the book cover you gave me though - they all have very hot covers.

OMG Kim. Those were my favorites too. I would add Outlander. I stayed up 24 hours reading that book. The others that come to mind are Star and the Shadow by Laura Kinsale, the one by Jennifer Haymore (morning brain - I don't think she has more than one) and Smooth Talking Stranger by Susan Elizabeth Phillips.

Comanche Moon and Comanche Heart, Keegan's Lady by Catherine Anderson

I love Catherine Anderson's writing.  I really like the whole Coulter/Kendrick/Harrigan series.  I like the way she carries her characters from one novel to the next.

I also love the Virgin River series by Robin Carr.  She has a way of making her characters very believable and I don't think I have read one of her books that didn't make me cry at some point.

I did stay home from work one day to finish Knight in Shining Armor by Jude Deveraux.  And read through the night to finish Duncan's Bride.  Just two of this years favorites.

Oh, and Broken Wing by Judith James and The Iron Rose by Marsha Canham. Those were reading marathons for me.  I couldn't put them down.
