I had a stack of 6 novels to read. I told myself I'd go through some papers and start the hard work of a job search after I read the first one. Then it was after I read the second one. Then it was after I finished the stack. So I just finished the last one, Delicious (mmmm...), and now there's this stack of papers and a job search I need to deal with and other work that still needs done. Anyone have another book I absolutely must read right away? Please?

Patricia Brigg's Mercy Thompson series....best books I've read all year! And there's four of them (for now), so that job search is just gonna have to wait awhile, I"m afraid......

With the recent release of Liz Carlyle's Wicked All Day, I found myself needing to go back and read her parents' story, My False Heart. Which, of course, led to reading the 15 related stories between False Heart and Wicked. These darned small social circles in regency stories! They really do bite into the time one can spend doing life-related stuff! LOL

cat - wouldn't you just love to know how to get a job as a proofreader for all your favorite authors? ;)

Being a proofreader is my dream job. Too bad I haven't a clue how to get into that business, because I'd be damn good at it! lol

LOL, Gina. I've wanted to go 'round the world with a red pencil ever since I was a very little person. My 2 faves: a business women's clothing store in downtown Los Angeles (think power suits) with a sign advertising a costumer appreciation day; and a large chain drug store selling "Xmas Reefs"

Ha Ha.  My favorite was a sign next to on elephant ride explaining about the animals.  It said they were "very gentile".  Apparently they were not Jewish elephants.

I wonder how you would circumcise an elephant?

LOL, Pamela. With extreme caution, of course.
