all of a sudden the emails I get from pbs say Root User instead of noreply@paperbackswap.com  ...

anyone else?

Me too! I had two PBS related messages. I think root user alerted me to a PM. The regular PBS Librarian alerted me to a kids book on my WL that was posted under a different ISBN.

I got one and deleted it without opening.  Maybe the site is compromised.

I just sent feedback about this via the 'contact us' button.

ETA: I note the auto-reply indicating they'd received the feedback came from the PBS Librarian, not 'root user'.

Here's the reply to my feedback query:

Thanks for writing in. One of our developers was optimizing the email server, and left out the "name" of the email sender on the new setup. So a few emails went out with the default "Root User." It's been fixed.
