Couldn't get into it. First of her books that I've read. Probably won't try any others.

As the title suggests, bondage is the theme of this book. Even though we are on a different fantasy planet, with different tribes, suns, etc., the story of the heroine being bound & seduced by the big, hunky hero is timeworn in this version. Of course, she falls in love with him. The sex scenes are detailed, but even with my preoccupation with sex, I found myself skimming the book just to get to the end. Ultimately disappointing unless you're really heavy into bondage.

Tarek and his clan of Centrois are searching for the Baasta's. The Baasta's were once slaves to the Centrois, but they are now finally free, living in peace. Tarek finds Nari and captures her, making her his sex chattel.

Tarek is her peoples' enemy so Nari initially fights him, but her desire to go against him wages with her desire to belong to him.

Tarek intends to bend Nari to his will, to use her body for his sexual pleasure and then he will break her spirit to find out where her people are hiding.

Their feelings for each other have no place in the war that their clans are waging.

Roped Heat is a tale rich with eroticism and emotions. The land, the people and the creatures that inhabit this world are fascinating. The BDSM in Roped Heat is intense; there is possession, humiliation, spanking, bondage and more.

I really enjoyed this book, sex scenes are detailed but overall this is a quick read
