My favorite romance trope (if it counts as a trope) is the couple with a history. That may be because it takes less suspension of disbelief for me than the stories where two people fall in love in about a minute and a half. I think it's also because the couple comes with baggage that creates instant conflict. Here the hero and heroine are forced back into each other's company to try to sort out their divorce. Both have feelings of guilt and conflict as well as a huge dose of the hots for each other.
I've always liked Ms. Kelly's books. So far, there's always at least one scene in each book (usually more) that has me giggling wildly and this book didn't disappoint. These two are so busy telling themselves (and each other) that they can have one last fling while they sort out the property settlement, that they can't see what's so obvious to the reader--that they're kidding to themselves. Great fun
