The book Jennifer mentioned, The Blood of Flowers, is still available. This is a wonderful book! The edition available must be the British edition because the other HC's and PB's have between 40 and 75 wishers. Someone should snatch this one up!

I just snagged that, if it is the same one. I LOVE that book - it is actually for my keeper shelf.

My priest recommended it to me, how cool is that?

Genie, I am pretty sure that it is the same book. I seem to remember you telling me about your priest recommended it when I posted that I had just finished it. I'm glad that someone here got it.

I have a paperback copy of The Surgeon's Mate by Patrick O'brian free to a good home.  I am replacing my odd copies of the series with one complete type.  I was about to post this one and I noticed on the first 3 pages an odd mark.  I don't think it is actually water damage, it looks more like my sweaty thumbprint when I was reading!  Anyhow, better safe than sorry; the book is in perfect shape otherwise.  FYI this is #7 in the Master and Commander series.  ISBN is #0393308200 if you would like it just pm me with mailing information and I will send it next trip to the post office.

There is a copy of The King's Touch by Jude Morgan available.

Product Description

This beautifully crafted novel brings to life an era famous for its dramatic events—the Plague, the Great fire of London, the Dutch Wars—and notorious for its sexual license and scandal. It was an era in which the King of England became a byword for sensual indulgence—enjoying ardent affairs and nurturing an addiction to witty company, horse racing, and high living, all the while maintaining an iron hold on his throne amid intrigue and violence. The King's Touch tells the story of Charles II from a uniquely enlightening perspective—that of the first–born son he loved above all others, but who would never become his heir.
