This was my first ever audio book so I wasn't sure what to expect. It took a little getting used to but then I really got into it. I would sit in my garage for an extra ten minutes before going in the house after work just to keep listening. As always, Nicholas Sparks provides a great story line, hitting on the topic of domestic violence and one woman's story of escape and moving on with her life. you won't be disappointed by this one.

So glad I listened to the book before watching the movie (although I haven't seen the movie yet) and, glad I didn't read any revealing reviews prior to it..the twist at the end was so much better not knowing it was coming..it gave me chills.

I listened to the book during my gym workout and it was very motivating. I loved the characters and the layout of the story. It's easy to visualize because not only are the descriptions colorful but Rebecca Lowman brings life to each character without over-acting. The unexpected ending was satisfying and emotional. I only hope the movie will be do it justice.
