This is a great book for all ages. It is delightfully illustrated and a fun read. Very enjoyable!
A duck named Sally orders a pair of socks. They come in the mail, but are too small. The instructions say that they'll grow to the right size. In no time, they are Sally's size. She cleans and dances in them.
But the socks keep growing. Sally wears them as a hat and scarf, then drapes, then blankets. A carpet and circus tent later, it rains on them. The socks shrink until they are just Sally's size again.
Why I recommend it: It's a bit silly without being fantastical. The illustrations are clean and not fussy.
