This book does what it promises. While I am adept at higher-level languages such as the various variants of BASIC, low-level languages such as C are harder to learn. This book made (most) of the concepts easily understandable. I don't think that any knowledge of programming at all is necessary, as this book takes you step by step from the very beginning on to the more advanced topics.

Whether you are a beginner or just need a refresher course, I highly recommend this book.
