Written by one of the first women to be ordained in the Episcopal church, Carter Heyward rethinks the figure of Jesus, seen as our brother. She uses personal reflection to urge us to be faithful, learn forgiveness of self and others. She sees the passion of Jesus going beyond moralism and calls evil a betrayal of morality. I loved the book; it's not for one who wants traditional Christianity.
