Another great Kleypas novel. If you are new to her books, don't start with this one as it references other charachters - but a great read once you've finished the others.

In the story of the final Wallflower, Daisy, I think her story was just okay. It didnt help that the story before was Devil in Winter, a favorite for all romance readers. I found myself a bit bored with Daisys story. I think there was not a huge focus on the couple, but involved previous Wallflowers, which did not work in the connection between the two. Some moments in the story were amusing, the key incident and I think that the ring was so romantic! Unfortunately, the story was forgettable, but its not a reason to not finish the series. I have really enjoyed the Wallflower series, but this one was my least favorite.

The last of the wallflowers, this one doesn't disappoint. It's fun, but like many romances, it seems like the heroine changes her mind conveniently. But, that doesn't detract from the read.

The last of the wallflowers, Daisy Bowman has been given an ultimatum by her father. Either find a husband, or marry the man he picks for her...Matthew Swift. Daisy doesn't want anything to do with Matthew, remembering him as a sober man who never smiles. But when Daisy meets Matthew again, sparks fly.

This was my least favorite of Kleypas' Wallflower series. Even though both the hero and heroine are both likeable characters, I kept waiting for something interesting to happen. If you are reading the series, I would still read it for the closure. But in my opinion, it is just your average historical romance.

The last of the wall-flowers, Daisy is in search of a husband. Is she can't find a husband by herself, her father insists she will marry Matthew Swift. A man who works for him and is more like a son than his own sons. Daisy is horrified. Matthew is the last person she would want to marry, at least that's what she thinks until she sees him again, after 2 years he has changed more than should be possible. But right at the moment of sweet surrender, a scandalous secret is uncovered...one that could destroy both Matthew and a love more passionate and irresistible than Daisy's wildest fantasies.

After three unsuccessful London seasons, Daisy Bowman is given an ultimatum by her rather cruel and nasty father - find a husband or one with be found for you. Matthew Swift, her father's protege is the one selected. Daisy, of course, knows Matthew and hates him because he is just like her father - or so she thinks. Daisy isn't your typical London miss. She's outspoken and has ideas that get her in trouble with her callus father.

The unintentional courtship is at times both funny and heartbreaking. Matthew is a sweetheart with dangerous secrets and Daisy doesn't want to leave England (Matthew lives in America) or her sister (her best friend and only familial support).

I really enjoyed this conclusion to the Wallflowers series. All the wallflowers and their husbands make appearances in this story...kinda like a family reunion.

This is the fourth and final of Lisa Kleypas simple yet brilliant Wallflower books. It's a light, uplifting, happy book.

At the start of the series four Wallflowers--women who each, for various reasons, were unable to find suitable husbands--agree to band together to help each other. Daisy is the last left unmarried and after three unsuccessful seasons in London, her father has put his foot down. If Daisy can not find a man of her choosing by the end of this season, he will arrange for her to marry his business associate Matthew Swift. Daisy is sure Matthew is the exact opposite of what she would want in a husband. Pragmatic, sensible, and ambitious to a fault, he appears not to have a single romantic bone in his body. But Matthew has been secretly in love with Daisy for as long as he's known her. He insists he cannot marry her, however. Secrets from Matthew's past haunt him even as the romance between he and Daisy blooms.

There's a lot to love about this book. Daisy is charming and adorable. Matthew's personality compliment's hers well, his practicality balancing out her romanticism. He shows a great deal of appreciation for her just the way she is, and repeatedly jumps to her defense. The plot is simple and uncluttered. The one major conflict didn't fit particularly well, however. It seemed like Kleypas put it in because she felt something else needed to happen, and that was the best she came up with. But, the women are charming and their friendship is great fun to read about.

I would definitely recommend this series to lovers of light historical romance. They are quick, easy, enjoyable reads.

My least-favorite in the Wallflowers series. A small disappointment because Kleypas makes you think that something will happen between Daisy and Cam Rohan based on Devil in Winter. She obviously had a change of heart because we now know Cam goes on to become a cornerstone of the Hathaways series.

I never loved Daisy in the other books so my interest in her story wasn't particularly great. I liked Harry but his strange past was kind of forced. However their romance and love story was sweet and romantic and can make your heart beat faster. That's why we read these books. Kleypas does it every time.

Another great installment in the Wallflowers series. While not my favorite of the 4 it was enjoyable to the very last. There was considerably less humorous one liners in this book that I have come to expect from this series but that didn't stop me from reading it as quickly as possible!

One word to describe this story: Sweet. Everything about this story was very sweet. I had a hard time with Daisy's parents reacting the way they did to Matthew's big secret. It just seemed out of character, but overall it was an easy, enjoyable read.

On another note, I'm so glad Kleypas didn't resort to her usual someone gets deathly ill and has to be nursed back to health plotline here. That by itself earned it a few more stars than usual.

I just adore this quartet. Daisy is the bookish dreamer of the group. She discovers that her father has set her up with his young business partner, father knows best? Of course, both parties want nothing to do with each other, but the chemistry speaks for itself. Enough intrigue and plenty of scenes with the other wallflowers. I will miss this series.

Like all readers of the Wallflower series, I anxiously awaited Daisy's story. I think that its an excellent addition to the series. Daisy and Matthew are a wonderful couple and Matthew has some heart melting lines. The secret that Matthew is hiding winds up sounding trivial at the end of the book, although I know that if it were my life, I would think it was the worst thing in the world too. The hardest thing to believe is the unwavering support that Matthew receives from the Bowmans. Otherwise, its a lovely story and a very good book. As other reviewers have mentioned, I wish there were more time to catch up with couples aside from Lillian and Marcus. A little more details on Evie and Sebastian would have been appreciated.

This was a cute, "fluffy," lite romance; a quick read. The last of the Wallflower Series; Daisy (Marguerite) Bowman's story. I found it to be merely "okay."
I really do long for the characters and stories that Kleypas used to write; e. g., Lady Holly Taylor and Zachary Bronson in "Where Dreams Begin." None of her current stories can be compared to her older books.

Lisa Kleypas does a masterful job of weaving together the stories of her characters. Here we see the youngest Wallflower mature in an intriguing young woman. But we also see the developing story of the other Wallflowers. A delightful conclusion that had me wishing the series were not yet concluded. Couldn't even finish it. Which is odd for me since I trooper through even disapointing story lines. But with so many more promising reads on my TBR pile, there was no way I was going to waste time with this bit of nonsense. Curious it is to me that this novel has garnered so many positive ratings. Mahaps I seek too much in a mere romance novel. Must contemplate lowering standards....

What made this one so insufferable was the fact that it's the fourth in a series. I'll admit maybe I would have enjoyed it a tad more had I previously read the segueing three novels, (and I have every intention of reading Devil in Winter at some point). But in my opinion, the failure of this story is flat out author laziness. She had all three previous couples in this novel. Yes, that's right: All bloody three of them. So instead of having to make one hero look dashing and desirable to one heroine, the author tried to outdo herself with one former hero saying something dashing which was followed up by the second book's hero saying something equally witty. After the third book's hero made some intelligent (yet humorous, of course) response (while being the model husband and father) I just had too much. Must we watch four men compete for "man of the year"? I want ONE hero per book, thank you very much. Two if you're a really superior writer. But four? I mean, seriously.

This book was less about the actual couple in question and more the author relying on the previous three couples to carry her word count. Add to that the fact that neither this book's hero or heroine were all that compelling and you've got yourselves a stinker Ladies and Gentleman.

I recommend a fervent pass on this one.
