This is an excellent book.
When Sierra discovers her young ancestor's handcrafted quilt and reads her journal, she finds that their lives are very similar. By following her ancestor's example, she learns to surrender to God's sovereignty and unconditional love.

One of my favorite Francine Rivers books - it will make you think, it will make you cry, and it will make you rejoice!

I just finished The Scarlet Thread by Francine Rivers. I am so glad that I read it. It starts out rather slowly and takes a bit of determination to get past the unpleasant beginings. But if you will hold on you see the character development. It parallels the spiritual development as well. THis is NOT a predictable book and the two stories in one format is complex enough to hold your interest on so many levels. How do lifes trials influence us? Do they draw us closer to the Lord or farther away? I recommend this book!
