This is a great book in that it provides a lot of information about the time and places that are the backdrop for Janis'short life and the things that drove her to excess. I enjoyed the writer's style immensely.

I highly reccomend this book.

Absolutely loved this book! Very fascinating look at Janis' life and a very detailed history of the 60's music. Since it is so detailed, it takes a long time to read but very worthwhile.

Had to read parts of it for class, so didn't read all of it. Good book with a lot of insight into Janis's life though.
