The only thing about this book that is similar to Harry Potter is that there is a school where students go to learn magic. That is where the similarities begin and end.
I really enjoyed this book. The story is so unique that it pulls you in and makes you want to read more. This one is definitely a keeper for me. About 3/4 of the way through the book it gets a little confusing-- I had to re-read a couple sections, but it is wrapped up nicely at the end.
