This is an interesting book that uses a family to traverse across the 10 golden ages of history according to the author. From a cultural perspective the author gives background aspects about the time and place this family lives in. So you are drawn into what it was like to actually live during that period. The individual family members continue to grow but keep some of their uniqueness and traits. The adventures and interaction proceed accordingly. This reminds me of Karma and reincarnation, but in the end it is the family itself that binds the reader to their story. I recommend this book for this reason.
