I am hoping that I can explain what I am asking.  I am interested in acquiring a number of books by the same author.  Is there any way that I can search member's bookshelves before placing an order?    I would like to find a bookshelf that has at least several of the books I am wanting and hope that they might be willing to accept a deal.

Go to their Bookshelf and do a ReSort by author. I do this all the time.

Ooookay, I think I may have read your question wrong. Do you mean viewing all bookshelves? or just a member at a time? I don't know of any way to do it across the board, only member by member.

edited to write ReSort instead of resort....

Also do a search by your author in the Bazaar, there is a thread there where people post for one author, multiple titles, and another where you can post what you are looking for, November books you are looking for (or something like that.) :-)

You can also search by using the Community tab at the top of this page.  Click on Box- O-Books on the drop down menu.  Then type in the author you are interested in.  You do not have to be a boxer to use this feature just to search.   I tried it with Danielle Steel as an example and the top boxer had 27 of her books on her shelf.

you can also post in the book bazaar or in the genre forums in the red sticky thread at the top.

Also check the genre thread that they fall into-I know in the Love/Romance board there's a thread called Is This On Your Bookshelf?  It's an ongoing thread for people to list books they are looking for and ask for deals.  Then if someone has a bunch they can just PM you. They start a new thread everymonth.

Remember, that while using the Boxing screen will give you a lot of shelves that you are looking for, but a great number of members are NOT boxers, as a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure the Boxers are a minority when the overall database is looked at, but it's still better than nothing.
