I hope I'm posting this in the right place.  I read a book as a teenager, in the mid-1980's, about a girl named Polly with long red hair who is very beautiful, loves to wear vintage, thrift store clothing, is very popular and who falls in love with the class nerd.  She has a female BFF whose name escapes me.  I think the plot of the book was about the fallout of the class princess falling in love with the nerdy guy.  I hope someone remembers this book and knows the name of the title and author b/c it is driving me insane, I want to read it again so badly and pass it on to my now-teenage daughter.

Thank you!

Thanks...I will try that.  I have posted on just about every book search site online that I know of, BUT that.  No replies so far. :(  Thanks!

I don't know the title of the book you are looking for but you could try asking a Librarian. I was in a similar situation and the Reserch Librarian at the Library that I work at helped me search for what I remember and eventually find the book.

Give Booksleuth over at www.abebooks.com a try. They've found a ton of old and forgotten titles and you've got more information than I did!
