Hi! I have been desperately trying to find the title of a book I read a long time back. I don't remember the title or author (I feel terrible about that!) The reason I want to find it is that it was the very first romance I ever read, but I never got to finish it. I remember distinctly that it was a Silhouette Desire *Man of the Month* book, and that it would have been published some time before 2000. The only parts of the story I can recall is that the heroine is stranded in the middle of no where, pissed that the person she was waiting for did not show and that a storm is coming (or it is getting late/dark). Up rides the hero on horseback and he takes her back to his place. I definitely remember the girl not being sure if the hero was brushing her breast on the ride back on accident, or "accidentally-on-purpose." I don't remember anything past this, and I don't think I made it past chapter 4. I am not certain, but I think there may have been an image of the couple on a couch, as a page behind the cover, though this could very easily be from a different book, as I aquired a bag of books all at the same time from a family member... Thanks so much for the help! Last Edited on: 12/15/08 6:26 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

It wasn't Forbidden by Suzanne Brockman was it? I read a reissue of that awhile ago. I remember bad weather and the hero coming to her rescue and them being stranded in a cabin or something. |

Unfortunately, I don't think that is the title. I am certain that it was a Man of the Month book from Silhouette Desire, red cover and what not. (Silhouette desire were the only books my Granny bought...) I will look into the book though, it seems like a good read, Thanks! Also, if anyone knows where I can find a list of the books that have been dubed Man of the Month by Silhouette, that may be helpful, as well. |

fictiondb.com has all of the Man of the Month books listed - they go back to 1989. You might want to wander over there and see if you can recognize the cover or go through the descriptions. (I think this info is available even if you don't subscribe.)
