Is anyone up for Secret Santa this year???  I am almost too late rounding up participants, but think it can still be pulled together.  If you are interested, please send me a PM.  I will contact everyone for address updates.  Think we need a deadline of October 15 so everyone will have time to assemble their gifts.

Will we keep our limit at $15???  Books only???  Thoughts are appreciated.

Sent you a PM Becki.

I think it is always fun to send something along besides a book but will so with the flow.  As far a limit, I would say $15-20 would be a good one.

I like $15 to $20 and maybe books are the main thing but you can add a bookmark or a book cover.  PBS has some nice books covers or maybe a PBS tote.  I love mine, it''s a terrific size to tote stuff to the PO!

Hello All Santas --- The reason I said books only was to avoid having everyone come up with non-book lists, i.e. "no candles", "no chocolate", etc.  If you wish to add a touch of something to your box, go for it!!!

I just looked at the PBS store and they have a couple of things that are inexpensive if someone wanted to send a bit of an extra item.  A PBS pen is 99 cents and a key chain is $1.99.  I know I was able to find some very inexpensive bookmarks on Amazon - along with very expensive bookmarks last year.  I like pretty bookmarks.

Hello All --- Last year we had participants who listed a mere 5 books and some who listed more than 20!!!!  I think at least 10 is good for your Santa so they have several to choose from and also have a variety for pricing purposes.

Hello All --- Another thought --- Amazon gift cards could be an alternative gift in the exchange.  So if you, as a recipient, would accept such just let me know and I will add that to your list.

Okay all Secret Santas,

You should now have a PM from me with your recipient's information.  As a favor, could each of you send me a PM letting me know just WHO your recipient is.  I know I should know, but in all the cutting and pasting I just want to make sure I have done it correctly.

WHEN TO MAIL???  I would say not much later than November 20 if you are using Media Mail.  That gives a month, but at holiday time that might even be a push.  Obviously, if you are using some other mail service or Fedex, etc. the time could be shortened.

Also, I will remind those who might not be aware, I find Abesbooks.com to be one of the less expensive used book sellers.

Hope everyone has a great time searching, sending and receiving.

Another idea is to check out the PBS market.  I found seven of the books there cheaper than a couple of other booksellers.  I get quite a few books from the Market and they have always been like-new.

Thank you so much Alice.

Santa came early to CA also.  Received an unbelievable stash of goodies from Geri.  Thank you so much.  The only trouble is now I have to decide which one to read first.  Since today is Halloween, maybe I'll start with The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (you gotta love that title), of course then there was Literally Murder, Spinning in her Grave, Stirring the Plot, Tempest in a Teapot, and The Telltale Turtle.
