I thought at first the book wouldn't be as good as the author's others. The book didn't hook me as quickly as her others, and I wasn't sure I actually liked the characters. I found the storyline got better as I read further, and the characters were more real, too. The ending was ok, not spectacular, but still enjoyable.
I give this book 4 stars because it was well written, as I have found all of Ms. Mackenzie's books to be, however, this was a bit darker... the love scenes are very erotic, yet very dark, due to ... well you'll have to read it... lol... I didn't find the book disturbing, just darkly different if that makes sense... I hope you will enjoy.
Next in a series. I love this book.
An immortal warrior, given the power to make right what once went wrong in a time not his own.
