This is an "okay" read. Not great, not horrible. It has an intriguing premise and plot, but never quite lives up to its promise. Lots of intrigue and angst. I liked both main characters but wish they had developed more thoroughly. It's a shame, because this could have been a really good story.

I agree with some of the other reviews out there. This book had lots of potential & just never seems to bring things to a point or conclusion well. I am reading the whole Witches of Mayfair series. So far this book is my least favorite. Both characters were introduced in the first book but they don't seem to be expanded upon much more even in their own book. Lots of subtle references to things but nothing is ever really explained. Ending is a bit of a let down.
