Ellen Cornelius had gone to Steve Corey at the request of her elderly aunt Alexandra Landseer, who wanted to find a magic fountain of youth. Though all Steve was interested in was the money, he promised to take the two women to a lost city where the magic waters flowed and age would fade away. That wasn't the only thing which would fade. Steve would make sure that Ellen's inhibitions would disappear as well, as the dark, handsome stranger would find his way into her dreams, and eventually, her heart. This well constructed, sensual story has conflict and adventure at every turn, from Alexandra's search for magic beauty to Ellen's own internal quest for something which no fountain of youth can deliver. The characters are believable, and Steve Corey is definitely tall, dark, handsome and worth keeping on your bookshelf.

Ellen Cornelius knos exactly what Mister Cory is: an Unscrupulous swindler, a man withour morals who will fleece her foolish old aunt out of her fortune. But as the group trravel west in search of the fountain of youth. Wllen is both repelled and bequilled by his dark, compelling secuality. Her only protectoin is to hide behind her prin, atronizing manner and her acid toungue.

Steve Corey tests Ellen's rragile poise saying things to her that no gentlman would say to a lady. He enjoys infuriating her. takes great pleaseure in shocking her. He has become the dark seducer of her dreams, delingering a thunderstorm of ecstasy to a lonely, unsophisticated woman qho has been hurt and disappointed too many time before.

But he never dreamed that his deduction of Ellen would lure his own heart into uncharted territory.

Not too shabby.

wonderful characters and a powerful story. Steve Corey was everything Ellen despised and all she desired. Fast pace. Good story.

The book was an alright book, but not up to the standards of some of her other books, but the romantic scenes were steaming.
