Has anyone else read this book by Logan Ward?. It's a wonderful account of the author & his wife's decision to live like it was the year 1900. I couldn't put it down. Now my 19 year old daughter is reading it & is feeling the same way. Very humorous, honest...an absolutely wonderful book. Highly recommend it to make you appreciate what you have now as well as make you think about how simplifying your life might not be a bad idea.

Sounds like an interesting read.  I've always wondered how it would be to live in the year 1900, how people got along without microwaves, computers, cell phones, TV, etc.  I would imagine it was less stressful back then as well!  Again, that could be argued both ways..  without the help of technology, every day living would be more difficult.

actually their life seemed sometimes more stressful than ours.  trying to grow all your own food, waiting for rain, fighting bugs & pests, using a wood stove for all cooking, canning, etc...  trying to learn to be self sufficient and have the skills that most of us don't have in today's world...milking goats, driving a horse & carriage, etc...  I guess life is always stressful, just in different ways.
