My son loved a book he bought at the school book fair titled "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" by Jeff Kinney.  It is written like a diary with doodles and cartoon like drawings. If you are aware of any other books like this please take a moment to tell me about them. My son is in the gifted program at school but he is very picky about choosing books to read.  He said he would read all the books I can find  like these.  Thanks, Dixie

There is a sequel to The Diary of a Wimpy Kid.  Don't know if he's read it yet, but its called Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Roderick Rules.  My kids also loved Diary of A Wimpy Kid, and when they learned of the sequel I had to get it for them.

Dixie~

The Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III books are kinda written in that style, although the content is very different.  The author is Cressida Cowell, and the titles include How to Train Your Dragon, How to Speak Dragonese, How to Cheat a Dragon's Curse, and How to Twist a Dragon's Tale, among others.  My son laughs out loud while he's reading these books!

He has read the first one (red) and the second one (blue) and tells me the next one comes out in Oct. and then another in Jan. of 09. I am not sure where he got his info but he don't even want to wait until Oct. for that one to come out so that is why I am looking for something like them. Dixie
