even when the recipes don't seem to be part of the book. Sometimes they are just added on to the end of the book. I wonder if people use the recipes. Do people cook this stuff?

I haven't but I am a terrible cook so it doesn't appeal to me.

I cooked or baked many of the recipes in the Diane Mott Davidson series. About half were keepers. But then, I also make the meals from Dinner and a Movie when watching some of those films. Diane had better and more affordable recipes. I have not seen a random recipe yet in any of my non- food themed books.

check out The Little Paris Bookshop. There is a section of recipes at the end of the book. Most of them seem to be foods that are eaten at various points in the book.
