Detail page shows book was delivered July 7th.  I already rec'd my credit from pbs dc.  Do I do anything?  Time runs out in a few days.

Since you already got your credit I wouldn't worry about it.  The system will take care of it on the other person's end.

Sometimes the Dtracking information isn't entirely accurate. For now, I wouldn't worry about it; if it goes lost, you might want to PM the other person to ask if he/she got it. But since you already got your credit, it's not a big deal even if they did get it and didn't mark it received; one lost book isn't going to put a black mark on your record.

Adrienne, I don't mind sending or receiving a nicely worded PM, just asking if the book has been delivered, especially if DC is showing it was delivered.  As a TG, I get a ton of questions from members, dealing with books that were not marked received or marked mailed and it can cause so many problems when a simple PM might have taken care of the problem.  Many times members appreciate receiving the PM, simply because they forgot to mark it received and the PM reminds them to do so.

When I use DC, I generally wait a week or so after it shows having been delivered and send a PM.  Usually something like:

Hi,

I noticed that the post office shows they delivered "name of book" and that it hasn't been marked received.  I just wanted to be sure you received it and that the Post Office is not teasing either of us.  If you are indeed enjoying your new book, please mark the book received when you get a moment.  If not, please let me know so I can file a report at my Post Office.

Thanks!

What Hunter said.  It can also help alert the member that the book may have been misdelivered or, if they're not responsive, you can notify PBS in case there is an inactive member or other account issue.  Details in the Help Center under "A Book I Sent is Lost in the Mail!"

Cheers,

Catt

Mary, you're so nice and so diplomatic.  I'm just gonna have you write all my PM's and emails for me, k?  ;-)
