I'll go first:

I'm still reading My Legendary Girlfriend by Mike Gayle. I like it, but it's starting kinda slow. It would help if I actually had time to read right now!

I'm still reading "Schooled" and I LOVE it. Was sorry to have to come into work because I wanted to keep reading. I'll probably read more at lunch and finish it before bed tonight.

I left work early one day to finish reading a book *hanging my head in shame* I guess it wasn't too bad since we do have flex time.

I'm deciding what book to read next... it is likely to be Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick but I probably won't start a new book until tomorrow so I may change my mind by then... I did get a new bookcase to keep track of which books I should read next though :)

I'm starting Dune Road by Jane Green.

I got my copy through PBS, but if anyone else is way down on the WL, I saw copies at B&N for $5.99.

I finished Dune Road. It was pretty good; I liked it better than The Beach House.

Now I'm reading Little Bitty Lies. I love Mary Kay Andrews :)

I'm reading the third of the "Vivian" books. They've gone from YAY to just kind of eh.

And haha, I got one of those clearance "Dune Road" books! It was on 4 places of my WL and I had two B&N coupons so I was super excited!

I'm reading The Next Big Thing by Johanna Edwards.  Quick and easy but I'm not sure that I love it.

Amy, I really liked that one! I have Your Big Break on my TBR. I'm hoping it's as good.

I'm about to start "Beyond the Blonde" at lunch today. I'm also intermittently reading "The Gift of Fear" but it's not something I can read lightly before bed or it'll give me nightmares.

I'm about to finish the second "It Girl" novel, I picked it up at the Friends of the Library sale this weekend. Not sure if I'll move on to #3 right away or not!

No chick lit right now. I'm almost finished with Murder in Scorpio by Martha Lawrence. It's the first book in her psychic detective series and excellent so far.

After that, I have a pile of library books to go through--Killer Cruise by Laura Levine, Undead and Unwelcome (Queen Betsy 8) by MaryJanice Davidson,  and Killer Cuts by Elaine Viets.

ETA: I'm with you, Heather, about The Gift of Fear. I picked it up after two different cops in two different departments told me that they wished they could make it required reading for everybody. It is fascinating, but I can only read it in small doses without freaking myself out. I'm about half-way through right now.

There are a ton of different copies of "The Gift of Fear" available (like many different ISBNs). I didn't have to wait too long for mine, the MMP version. It was recommended to me when I took a recent self-defense class (funny but weird tidbit: the class was held in a stripper-exercise studio, so there we were, about 12 women learning to defend ourselves in a small room with 6 poles coming out of the ceiling!). When I made the point about being scared, it's not horror/vampire/werewolf scared, it's real-life scared. It's basically a book to try to change your way of thinking like how women try to trust everyone, and need to trust themselves more. So it's the real-life scenarios the author has encountered (women who have been raped after ignoring their intuition about a guy, etc) that I think will haunt me in my sleep. I'm only about 1/5 of the way in, but I can say it's something I'd recommend to the ladies on this forum. Unfortunately, the world we live in today gets worse each day, and the more "artillery" we have for ourselves, the better.

I *am* really enjoying "Beyond the Blonde" though- it's total fluff but quite cute.

Ha, I guess I do not need that book! I do not trust anyone, not even the granny down the street.
