I just started Savannah Blues. I think it's hilarious how Weezie actually says out loud things to Caroline (her ex-husband's new fiancee) that I figure most people would only dream of. She's already my hero! cheeky

I just started "City Dog." Anyone who loves animals (esp dogs) would love Alison Pace's writing. She is just fantastic. This book is half written from the dog's point of view, which is so adorable!

No chick lit right now. I'm on a mystery kick and stockpiling a few Regency romances for after the mysteries are done. Currently reading:

Both are excellent!

Genna - I love Mary Kay Andrews' books; she is so funny (or maybe she hits a little close to home?)! Little Bitty Lies & Deep Dish are two of my favorites.

I just finished The Shiksa Syndrome. Meh. I'm starting The Summer We Read Gatsby next.

Heather, I don't know if I can read City Dog. I already talk for my dogs; I don't need any more encouragement.

currently reading the Rachel Benjamin series by Jennifer Sturman. I've had these books for YEARS and am only not getting to them (mainly bc they've been at my parents house with all the rest of my Red Dress Ink books)

read The Pact and The Jinx yesterday, finished The Key earlier today and am reading The Hunt right now

I'm reading "Life, Libby and the Pursuit of Happiness" by Hope Lyda. Very nice so far. From reading the back, I got the idea that this was along the lines of the Christian chick lit like Kristin Billerbeck, but so far it's only had a few vague mentions of church. I'm interested about some of her other books, I just wish PBS had descriptions of them rather than just their pictures.

Heather, I've read all of Hope Lyda's chick lits and they're all really good. If you're going to read her others, I would suggest reading Hip to be Square first as it's the prequel to Altar Call.

I very much like Hope Lyda. I actually won a signed copy of Life, Libby and the Pursuit of Happiness.

I've been trying to get into "Cad" but I haven't been able to so far. I switched gears and started "Girl Cook" by Hannah McCouch. It's actually a pretty good book so far.

Aw, I liked "Cad" (not that I'd like that guy in real life though!) I am just starting "Best Friends Forever" by Jennifer Weiner.

Well, "BFF" has been so excellent I could hardly put it down, and to think I thought it'd take me a while because it's so thick. Excellent writing, though not surprising! After I finish this tonight, I'm flipping switches and going to read "Well Enough Alone" by Jennifer Traig.

I'm reading "Falling Out of Fashion" by Karen Yampolsky. I think it's supposed to be about "Jane" and "Sassy" magazines, which is kind of cool, because I liked those.
