I just wanted to push a new author a bit, one that is very good for this being his first book. Servant of A Dark God is a great fantasy read. I don't tell a summary very well, so I'll leave the link on Amazon.

http://www.amazon.com/Servant-Dark-God-John-Brown/dp/0765322358/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1258842374&sr=1-1

If you come across it, check it out. Despite what the title is, it isn't a terribly dark book, nor does anyone worship the devil or anything, although the actions of their "gods" can be devilish.

Didn't Raymond Feist have a book by this name too? Or am I confusing it with something else?

Feist has one book named Shadow of a Dark -- something or other.  King? And another book named Servent of an Empire.  Maybe you're taking a word or two from one title and combining it with the rest of another title.  The cadence is very similar.

Valerie, it sounds interesting. I'll keep an eye out for the book.

Double posted, somehow.  Sorry.
