  Evergreen between his teeth;
Lovely humans told him not to eat.
Incisor & canine greenly-stained
Jowl continues to chomp away.

Appling thought to all the unseen
Harrowing fields within his mind’s keep.

Last is to be first and first is to surely wait.
Every day’s a lesson.
Every date, a small victory to claim!

Glass windows cannot contain
Oddly his songs sustain.

Outwardly sane and precisely pacing,
Dutifully pride-less & self-effacing.

All things in life slowly begin to fade.

Listening exclusively to the voice that made time,
Love is his only sickness and only true crime.

The last three stanzas are incredibly right, perfectly phrased.
