My friend John asked me if I had ever heard of these books  I Serve a novel of the Black Prince by Roseanne Lortz  http://www.amazon.com/Serve-Novel-Black-Prince-ebook/dp/B00332EWC4/ref=sr_1_cc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1296235852&sr=1-1-catcorr  Also Behold the Dawn byK. M. Weiland  http://www.amazon.com/Behold-the-Dawn-ebook/dp/B00332FJEO/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1296236356&sr=1-1-fkmr0   I haven't and I told John  I would ask you all if you had heard anything.  I Serve has some decent reviews from Historical Tapestry, Historically Obsessed and Historical Novel Review.   Just FIY I Serve is 2.99  on Kindle and Behold the Dawn is 4.99.

Also he was wondering if he can access his Kindle which he has on his computer from another  computer?  I have no idea so this thread is for John

Letty, I have Kindle for PC as well as my Kindle and DH says the kindle for PC CAN be accessed from another PC.

As for I Serve, I haven't read it but have been sorely tempted to order it. Don't know if you noticed, but one of those rave reviews came from the author's husband! wink

If the PCs are in the same network, and assuming the target PC allows file sharing, the answer would be yes. But if the computer's on a different network, it would need to be set up for remote access and sharing.

John will be pleased to know he can access this kindle he has been doing a great deal of traveling recently, and will be for the foreseeable future.

I saw that review as well and one reason I've held back. If the library gets it I might give it a shot, but otherwise I'll pass.

Well I ordered it Cathy,  I am very interested in the Black Prince and at 2.99 I figure I would take one for the team and read it.  Once the Excedrin kicks in I will settle down and read it.

I have wasted more money on other authors (Sandra Worth) that I can justify 3 bucks.

Thanks for taking one for the team. $2.99 for a kindle is much cheaper than the going rate for a hardback.

Make sure you let us know how you like this book, Letty....

We're counting on you since you already took one for the team!

Shoot, Cathy - 2.99 is cheaper than a paperback!  And when I think of all the money I've spent on lousy paperbacks... it makes me cringe!

Does anyone know if this was self-pubbed or small publisher?

Since I have it on my Kindle PC reader, there isn't any publishing information that I can see,

I went back and looked and the Publisher is  Anno Domini Publishing,  I googled them and it seems that they are a specialty publisher out of the U.K. specializing in Christian  Books.
