Retelling of "The Blind Men and the Elephant", great for Kindergarteners, it can teach them the 7 days of the week, 7 colors, ("...on Monday, the white mouse.... on Tuesday, the green mouse..."). My classes are able to guess it's an elephant long before the end.

Beautiful illustrations in this book. 7 mice find an object and they all think it is something different by feeling different parts of it. In the end they figure it out by putting all the pieces together.

I thought this was a really nice story, very nice artwork. The only problem I had with it was that all the mice were male, except for the one who figured out what the mystery object was. I would have prefered a more mixed group of mice.

FANTASTIC illustrations, utterly wasted on a story we all know by heart. So many better things coulda been done with mouse stacking.

I like to read this the opening day of Kindergarten.
