The MacCrae sisters are weaving experts in their home town of Paisley, Scotland. Two of the seven sisters set sail for America to teach their skills to the workers at Donald MacConnock's textile mill. Unknown to them, their young sister Maggie becomes a stowaway on the ship that carries them to New York City. There she will share her sister's joys and sorrows and discover her passion for love.
