How many am I allowed to have (on the receiving end, I might add) before someone from Paperback Swap thinks I'm picky?

Seriously? I've had a wet book, a damaged book, a dirty filthy book, and an ARC all in the past month.

I know how you feel! I'm coming up on my THIRD lost book (I'm the receiver) out of only 36 books that I've requested. :-(

If they're problem books, please keep marking them as such--the only way to cut down on those things is to police each other and report them. Sometimes there's a streak of bad luck...but don't NOT report them because you're worried about looking too picky...those all sound definitely unpostable.

Will throw some incense on the fire and ask the book goddess to reverse the string of bad juju you've been having! :D

They would look at your overall record with PBS. If you are markign an extremel high number of books as RWP and demanding your credit back then they might wonder if you are making damage up. But a few here and there won't hurt you especially with how long you've been a member.

The RWPs seem to come in groups.  I get none for a long time then 2 or 3 close together. And the worse books that I've received have been from long time members-go figure.

It might be a good idea to describe the problems briefly in the box that says "anything else you want us to have on file". That way if they look at your account, it's clear what the problems were without having to dig through all the PMs to find them.

Thanks for the juju and encouraging comments. :)

I have already been doing as Cathy suggests, hoping all would be taken into account. I also realized there were some "unresolved" problems in my transaction archive from a few months ago that were already resolved, so I marked those as resolved.

Thanks again! :)
