I have been a regular trader and forumer on the sf-books.com international science fiction and fantasy book trading site for several years.  However, the trading site has been down since early April 2008 (about two months at the time of this posting).  The forum is still alive, although members are working around a bug limiting the number of posts per thread.  The site owner and operator has had vendor problems, and now his wife has had a new baby - but he says the site will come back some day.  I hope so.  I doubt the non-US participants will come to paperbackswap.com, although the US participants might.

Are there any sf-books.com traders or forumers here?  I am still on both forums.

Hi Tom,

SF-books.com was the very first trading site I joined.  I am on the forum as well, but don't know how to access it now that the site is down.

Hi Gashlycrumb!  Long time, no hear!

The forum was moved to separate site (sfb.forumer.com) a while ago, and even though the trading site is currently down, the forum is still active.

I signed up at the site, but if I remember correctly it didn't look like an easy place to get started.  Why order from a new member when there are so many there with established trading records?

That aside, I'm sorry to hear that it is down, and I hope that it comes back soon.

Tom, I'm having trouble getting on the forum using the link you posted.

Kari, I don't remember having any difficulty getting established as a trader on sf-books.  Just post a few highly popular books and the requests will come in.  If you are willing to trade outside your country, you will get even more requests.

That was the first trading site I joined as well.  I haven't been back there for awhile, as I found it easier to just post and trade all from one place.

I'm here too, but irregularly.

I miss the forum's robustness before the 10 post bug.
