I purchased this book years ago when it first came out. My first time through I was not all that impressed but I read the book and it just kind of grew on me. I have read the book cover to cover a couple of times and have gone back to the photos countless time. I love Rachel's philosophy of making use of things that you have on hand or can easily find in a flea market. She adds some coats of white paint and the items take on a whole new life. This would be my absolute dream house, not for its extravagance but rather for its simplicity. Her garden is absolutely wonderful too. I can part with some of my books but this would be one of the last to ever go.
