Just curious if anyone has read this yet and what your thoughts were?  I can see myself reading this one again just to try and grasp everything.  I'd really like to hear feedback from others on this one.

A bunch of us at work have read or are reading the book right now. Opinions are running about 50-50 pro and con. It is funny because the very reasons that had some of them loving the book are the very reasons that others totally disliked it.

Sally, I read it about a month ago.  I could not put it down.  It was the first book I have ever finished reading and could start right over.  I really liked it.  The next time I read it I will be highlighting and underlining stuff in it.  I know our pastor didn't want our book club to read it.  I read it any way.  I guess my question is, how do we know it wouldn't be like that?

I just finished it last night and thought it was wonderful!  I haven't felt so emotional about a book in a long time--it drained me (in a good way).

I thought it was great and very thought provoking.   It will be one I re-read in a year or two.

I picked it up at the library since PBS was all "abuzz" about it! It was GREAT! I didn't have any problems with the spiritual content or direction. I went into it thinking I might not like it if it was too "out there"! I was PLEASANTLY surprised! It made me think. It was refreshing to read something that wasn't as "caucasian american" mindset!
