Incredible story. Lisa See is a wonderful storyteller. She writes so vivdly and beautifully. It was such a pleasure to listen to this on audio CD. Janet Song's narration was exquisite. The story is heartbreakinly sad, and yet hopeful and joyous. I can't wait to get my hands on another Lisa See story. Very highly recommended!

Another great read from Lisa See. It is the story of 2 sisters, May and Pearl, and their lives over the course of 20 years. I did not want to put it down.

Really interesting story on its own and Janet Song reads it wonderfully! As a fan of Gilmore Girls it was fun to hear Janet's current work. Very talented!
