Lady Johan (correct spelling) had her affair with William de Braose here, and Llywelyn hanged De Braose at the foot of the Garth. Johan died here in 1237, their son Dafydd ap Llywelyn died here in 1246, lady Eleanor de Montfort died here in childbirth on19th June 1282 giving birth to Gwenllian. No ghosts, but a definate sense of great events happening at this place.
