This is the second book in the Sharing Knife series, in which Dag and Fawn head off to meet the Lakewalkers and run into several conflicts along with way, both in the Lakewalker camp and elsewhere. And I still love this series! Can't wait for the next book! At the moment, Bujold sees this as being a four-book series. Of course, she originally saw the whole thing as only one book (that turned into the first two), so we'll just have to see what comes.
2nd in series. I probably liked beguilment a hair more because them meeting was lovely. This one is also very good. It did seem strange that Dag did not warn his bride what to expect better as he is usually very up front with her, but this book is mostly about his struggle to get his people to accept a bride they find taboo and his growth from it.
The second of (eventually) 4 books in The Sharing Knife series, Legacy is a closer look at the Lakewalkers, and at the perils that threaten if the schism between Dag's people and Fawn's continues. Again, excellent characters in an engrossing story.
Personally I was just not impressed at all. More juvenile fiction with a bit too much sex for a juvenile.
A great continuation of the series. It has interesting characters and an interesting plot.
