From the back cover: "Ever since she was a child, Dianne longed for stabilty and a warm sense of family. When she met Alan Masters, the charming Chicago-area attorney seemed to be her perfect match. Yet Dianne soon discovered the dark truth--Masters was a crooked lawyer with mob ties who 'owned' his clients, a brutal philanderer with a violent temper and a monster obsessed with keeping Dianne under his control."
A sad, but true story of corruption, murder & cover-ups. I liked it, though would not consider it among my favorites.
