For fans of Mitford, I enjoyed reading this book for the second time. It's a nice easy read and reminded me of what I enjoyed about the characters in the Mitford series. It's a very nice holiday read.

Another home run from Jan Karon. Shepherds Abiding made me long for the crisp, chilly air of winter and the joy that Christmas always brings. If you need a Christmas fix, but the holiday season is several months away, this is the book for you.

A story to read anytime of year but especially at the holiday season. Love the characters and the wonderful life they all have in Mitford.
It is the 8th and final book of the series. It wraps up all the burning questions about Mitford.
This book, as well as the whole series; charming, uplifting, easy read. You'll hate to put it down and hate to see it end
