This is one of Pappano's "Heartbreak Canyon" series and one of the better ones. She has a way of making the locations of her stories very real, and a part of what is going on. I also think she is great at dialog, and her secondary characters scream for their own stories. Here she gives you a glimpse of Sheriff Brady Marshall (his book, The Sheriff's Redemption, is one of the best romance series books I have EVER read), and the mysterious red headed doctor, who has yet to have her own book. Pick this one up and enjoy.
