Ok I have been wondering about her books for awhile. i have gone to her website and was overwhelmed with all the books she has...her dark hunet books are listed in the order she feels they should be read..however she includes the dream hunter books in this list. When ordering from her the dream hunter books seem to be sepertate from the dark hunter. for those who have read them can each "series" be read in its own or is it best to combine them like she has them listed.  Walmart has a whole kiosk devoted to her books and its alway s caught my eye but wasnt sure..i like that they arent vampires that need to feed off people to exist..they seem to exist to protect humans?? Am I right....anyhoo because of someone here who talked about loving them i went and ordered what i thought were the first 2..its seems i ordered the first and then the 4th.  i am looking forwar to an new author and series!

I would suggest reading them in order, only cause each book gives you insight to future characters you will come across in her other books.  Reading them out of order will make it just a tad confusing on other characters.  They can stand alone though.

The Dream Hunter books do interact with the Dark Hunter books...those sneaky Dark Hunters will pop up when you least expect them.  I have read everyone and they are addictive, like all series books, some are better than others.

I just absolutely love them

I too absolutely love them. The first book Fantasy Lover technically isn't a Dark Hunter book but it does tie into them and sets up a little of the Dark Hunter world. I loved the first one, and the second, and the third etc LOL. I would read them in order too. The order that she suggests would probably be the way to go.

I read Fantasy Lover years ago.  Recently got the second one.  Then I jumped ahead to like the 7th one I think it was.  The heroine was the sister of the heroine in the second book.  That's all of them I've read.  They're good but I didn't go out seeking the rest of the series.

Here is the Dark Hunter and Dream Hunter series in order.

1. The Dream Hunter (2007)
2. Upon the Midnight Clear (2007)
3. Dream Chaser (2008)

I have them all except those in HB. I have read many of them and keep them because I love them so much. If you like romance, sex, paranormal and alpha males, these are the books for you. :)

I love what she's written as Kinley MacGregor, but not a big fantasy A/R fan, so I haven't read any of the Kenyon books.  Who knows, maybe someday.  If they are of like quality, they're probably very good.

I have just found her and LOVE the Dark Hunter books. I am on number 4 right now.  I agree that you should read them in order.  I have all the rest on the way to me and I can not wait.

yes, they're historicals.  i mainly read paranormal romance, but i very much enjoyed the Kinley MacGregor books i've read so far.  and thanks to this site, i've managed to finally get my hands on some of the older ones!  i'm just waiting for a good time to read them.  though the Lords of Avalon series is more fantasy - set around the remains of Camelot and the Knights of the Round Table.

I have read several of her older historicals (not the newer Avalon books or any of the Brotherhood of the Sword ones either). I absolutely loved Born in Sin. Sin is such a tortured soul and his story spoke to me so much.

i haven't read Born in Sin or the rest of the MacAllisters books yet, but The Warrior - the most recent Brotherhood of the Sword book - is about Lochlan MacAllister, and Sin was in it at least briefly.  that's what sent me looking for the MacAllisters trilogy!
