What is the proper way of mailing audio cassettes and/or CD's?  I was thinking a bubble mailer...is this protection enough?

Thanks!

According to PBS all you need is their printed wrapper. But, think about how you'd like to receive them before you answer that question. Hubby always makes a little box out of cardboard to mail his in. If you use anything less, the cardboard casing is going to get smashed for sure. Wouldn't you rather someone did that for you? But, that's only an opinion, not a rule, PBS says nothing about any special  treatment for audios. So it's totally up to you. I'm just making a suggestion based on how hubby feels about his audios.

Good advice Sherry.  I was thinking the same thing.  I just didn't feel right sending it without cardboard protection...the tapes could get damaged.

Thanks!

My daughter mails a lot of CDs -- they get better treatment than books because they're light enough to go first class.  She puts a piece of cardboard on either side, and usually a somewhat crumpled tissue between the cardboard and the CD.

No problem, Denise. I can always tell when he has an audio order. He's sitting here with his stanley knife cutting up some cardboard and measuring and making a box out of it. We used to have a link to someone's nice step by step pictorial to making a cardboard box for special hc's too, but I can't find it anymore, and neither can he.

Anyone still have a link to Vunderbar's box pictorial?
