Yes and if they filled it out when they ordered the book it should print the alternate address for you.  You can still use DC. The only downside it to the requestor who loses the option to mark a book received with a problem.  If they asked about the address change in a PM then they need to cancel and reorder the books from you using the alternate address so you can use the DC.

Definately use DC Zina, as some of these alternate address transactions take awhile to mark received (lack of communication between requester & receiver).

Second that.  The requester has to mark it received.  Not where the book is going to.  Can be very frustrating.

I've sent to a third party without any problem at all!  Grandma ordered books for grandkids.  No time delay on mine.

I'm with sassy, sent to a third party with no problem.  I used PBS DC so no problem getting the credit - as mentioned if you don't use it you have to wait for requestor to mark it received and they might not be told when it does get received.

I've sent to alternate address's and never encountered any problems.  It is a great way for Grandparents to send books to grandkids across the country from them.  As well as their own kids.

I have books sent to my grandchildren all the time, and I've instructed my children to make sure to let me know when they get the books, and have not had any problems.  Pat

I have a small PO box and don't want to upgrade, so I use that address as my official one, but limit it to fun books.

Mostly, though, I request books related to work, and when I do, I have them shipped to me at the office, which in PBS's system is an alternate address.  In my situation, those books get registered faster, since I'm at work 4 days a week and can only get to the PO box on Friday or Saturday (unless I have to go out of town.)

I've had books sent to my kids, also, and they have been very well lectured on the importance of making sure they let me know immediately when the books arrive and why. So far, I've not had any of them wait to tell me, so they continue to get books when they want them :)
