6 hours abridged on 5 CDs read by Lou Diamond Phillips. Shocking tale of a many trying to trace his family after discovering he'd been adopted. More shocking is what various townspeople have been hiding all these years. Great listening for a long car ride.

This is one of the rare audio books that make me drive around the block a few times so I can hear what happens next! Many unexpected turns to the story along with colorful yet believable characters (especially if you grew up or have lived in a small town). My main complaint with mysteries is I often figure out the mystery early into the story. This did not happen with this book! A real winner. Narrated excellently by Lou Diamond Phillips. He gives different voices to the characters making the reading seem like a "full cast" production.
